In the 1992 film, A Few Good Men, when JAG  officer, Lieutenant Daniel Kaffe (Tom Cruise) pressures Colonel Nathan Jessep (Jack Nickelson) to admit giving an unlawful order, Jessup declares in the iconic line: “You can’t handle the truth.”

The film rocketed the Judge Advocate General Corps to the public’s attention and was followed by the TV series, "JAG", which explored the exciting exploits of uniformed lawyers. Their challenges included dealing with terrorist threats and investigating political scandals.
