September Noontime Talk

"All About Clydesdale Horses and More"

DATE:   Wednesday, September 30

PLACE:  NTRA Meeting Space, 5118 Center Street
TIME:   12 Noon

One of the things that makes New Town a special place to live is that it is home to a wide range of residents who have or had fascinating careers.

One of these people is Kathy Grieff, a life-long equestrian, who works as a Zoological Specialist at Busch Gardens, caring for and training the magnificent Clydesdale horses. At our September Noontime Talk, we will learn about their history and unique features and why she finds that it “is impossible to touch one of these giants and not feel something special.”
She will also share her experiences working with some of the park’s other animals, including highland cows, Scottish blackface sheep, as well as an array of amazing birds, like red beaked hornbill and barn owl.
