BOARD BUZZ - May 2026 by Sommer Wrona, President
Posted on May 1st, 2026
Dear Neighbors,
It has been an honor to serve as your NTRA Treasurer, Board Member, and now President. As a volunteer, these roles have been more rewarding and more challenging than I could ever have expected. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, as so many of you have offered your support and encouragement along the way.
Effective May 13, 2026, I will resign my Presidency and seat on the Board of Directors. I have accepted a full-time paid position in a neighboring community, which prevents me from continuing to serve NTRA in the ways that I have.
As such, Board Officers will be reassigned, and an open Board seat will become available. NTRA is in the midst of some projects that could significantly change the look and feel of the community—this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to have a role in shaping the future of New Town. The appointment for the open Board seat will run through the end of this year. It’s a great way to try out being a Board member and then decide whether you’d like to run in the December election. Please send letters of interest to the NTRA Secretary at
ntra.secretary@gmail.com.
I wish you all the best, and I hope to continue to see everyone at neighborhood gatherings and events!
Sommer Wrona
